PrimeGlobal Welcomes New Michigan, California Firms

Duluth, Ga.-based association PrimeGlobal has added Saginaw, Mich.-based Yeo & Yeo PC, an IPA Top 200 firm, and BFBA of Sacramento, Calif. as new member firms.

Founded in 1923, Yeo & Yeo is a full-service assurance, tax and advisory firm with more than 200 professionals on staff in offices across the state of Michigan. The firm serves privately held and family-owned businesses in industries such as manufacturing, health care, agribusiness, construction and real estate, in addition to government, education and nonprofit entities.

Thomson Reuters, PrimeGlobal Team Up for Virtual Events on Diversity

Business information giant Thomson Reuters is partnering with accounting association PrimeGlobal to produce a multi-year series of virtual events covering topics ranging from corporate planning to organizational leadership, with a particular focus on diversity and inclusion within the profession.

The series gets underway May 15 with a Latin America-focused seminar on developing a career path for women in the accounting, tax and audit communities, followed by a June 1 women’s leadership panel discussion and presentation that explores support and empowerment.

“During these challenging times, the world needs the strongest leadership possible to help business build resilience and, ultimately, drive the recovery,” says PrimeGlobal CEO Stephen Heathcote. “Over the months ahead, we will focus on shining a light on the many inspiring women leaders across PrimeGlobal member firms and within Thomson Reuters, while creating a forum that allows for everyone to participate in the future of our industry.”

PrimeGlobal Welcomes C&D to Membership

PrimeGlobal announces the addition of C&D CPAs and Advisors of Solvang, Calif., (FY18 net revenue of $5.9 million) to the association’s North America region.

C&D is a team of CPAs and advisors located on California’s Central Coast. Founded in 1966, C&D has grown from a team of three to 35 professionals who specialize in tax planning and compliance services.

PrimeGlobal announces that two firms have joined the North American region: Tulsa, Okla.-based HoganTaylor (FY18 net revenue of $47.3 million) and Salina, Kan.-based K·Coe Isom (FY19 net revenue of $69.4 million).

PrimeGlobal, an association for independent accounting firms, announces the appointment of Stephen Heathcote as CEO, effective June 1, 2019.

“At this crucial moment of growth, Stephen Heathcote’s appointment is a clear reflection of PrimeGlobal’s commitment to its members and renewed leadership at the global level,” the association announced.

“After conducting a worldwide search, I am happy to announce the World Board was able to reach a unanimous consensus that Stephen was the right person to lead PrimeGlobal,” World Board Chairman Cornelius V. Kilbane Jr. says. “Our organization is one of the top international accounting associations in the world, and to have someone with Stephen’s leadership skills, experience with teams based in locations throughout the world, and an understanding of both global and regional needs means PrimeGlobal will continue to bring exceptional value to its members.”

The association has more than 300 members in 80 countries.

Heathcote’s background includes serving in the COO role at the UK Financial Reporting Council and as a senior manager at KPMG. He is also a key member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) executive team for the past 10 years.

PrimeGlobal announces the addition of ACCES Group to the association’s Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

ACCES Group, based in Bratislava, Slovakia, has been providing financial and accountancy services since 2000. The firm says it places an emphasis on the predicative ability of accountancy, in that the information obtained is interpreted correctly and in a timely manner in order to support decision-making.

PrimeGlobal announces the addition of the Bolivian accounting and auditing firm, Audit Financial Group SRL, to the association’s Latin America and Caribbean region.

Audit Financial Group SRL began providing audit, accounting and tax consulting services in 2015, in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. Today, founder and MP Daniel Espinoza Asturizaga says the firm boasts 16 staff who have extensive experience in the most prestigious international independent audit firms.
