New Philadelphia, Ohio-based Rea & Associates (FY17 net revenue of $40.9 million), an IPA 100 firm, has announced its intention to merge in Tucker & Tucker CPAs of Cambridge, Ohio, on May 1.

The single practice will include more than 300 professionals who are positioned to serve clients throughout Ohio.

Don McIntosh, CEO of Rea & Associates, says, “This merger supports Rea’s strategic growth plan and Tucker & Tucker’s succession plan. Combining our firms will better position us to provide accounting, auditing, tax and business consulting services in Southeastern Ohio and beyond.”

Formed in 1984 by Jeffrey T. Tucker and his father, Ralph Tucker, Tucker & Tucker CPAs specializes in providing taxpayers and small businesses with tax and business consulting services in Cambridge and the surrounding communities. The firm’s six employees provide individuals and local businesses with tax preparation, tax filing, tax planning, bookkeeping, estate and trust taxes and more.

“People are our top priority, and we do business by putting people first – including our team, our clients and members of our community. The same is true at Rea. We decided to move forward with the merger with Rea because their culture aligned so well with ours,” says MP Jeffrey T. Tucker. “Together, we look forward to uniting our traditions of experience, service and stewardship. Moreover, I’m confident that our decision to unite will position us to provide all of our clients with an even greater experience.”

When the merger takes effect May 1, Tucker & Tucker employees will move into the Rea & Associates office at 941 Steubenville Ave., Cambridge.

Rea & Associates is well established in the manufacturing, construction and real estate, dental, not-for-profit, health care and government industries and offers services ranging from traditional accounting, tax and assurance to succession plan consulting, business valuations and state and local taxes.
