San Francisco-based Andersen Tax (FY16 net revenue of $220.2 million) welcomed Brandon Nett as a managing director in the Seattle office. Nett will join the commercial practice group.

Nett has experience in consulting with clients on accounting for income taxes and other domestic and foreign tax matters. He also has experience in mergers and acquisitions and has specialized tax experience in the technology, health care and mining industries.

“Brandon’s background in the technology and health care sectors will be a great asset to our firm, and his wealth of experience in all areas of the field such as acquisition structuring and consulting, cross-border transactions, and corporate spin-offs, will help us better compete in the market,” says Lance Lamprecht, office managing director of the Seattle office.

Prior to Andersen Tax, Nett was a tax partner at Grant Thornton in Seattle and led their West region mergers and acquisitions tax services practice. Before Grant Thornton, he worked at PwC in Phoenix.

“Brandon fills a significant need in the firm and his impressive experience complements our existing expertise and will enhance the development of our next generation of commercial leaders,” says Dan DePaoli, U.S. country managing director.

“With Brandon’s industry knowledge and deep expertise in tax controversies, divestitures, and tax integration, I am confident he will make significant contributions towards our clients in the region,” says Mark Vorsatz, global chairman and CEO. “He embodies the best-in-class client service that is central to our firm’s values and his leadership in the field will help strengthen our practice.”
