Charlotte, N.C.-based Dixon Hughes Goodman (FY17 net revenue of $404 million) named Buddy Dearman MP of DHG Dealerships. In his new capacity, Dearman will develop and lead DHG Dealerships’ strategy, including overseeing services for over 2,500 dealership clients, located in all 50 states.

With more than 30 years of experience working with dealerships and their owners, Dearman brings to the table a wealth of knowledge in dealership tax and advisory services. Based in DHG’s Memphis, Tenn., office, Dearman will lead a 25-partner leadership team and more than 160 professionals dedicated to serving the dealership industry.

“It is an honor to be the new managing partner for DHG Dealerships,” says Dearman. “As a practice, we will continue to focus on the important industry issues that affect our dealer clients and help identify solutions.”

Dearman succeeds Tim York, who has served as MP of DHG Dealerships since 2012. York will continue to work closely with Dearman and the dealerships team and clients as he simultaneously assumes the firm-wide leadership role of MP of industries.

“Buddy has been instrumental in the growth, talent development and leadership of the firm’s dealership practice,” says York. “His passion for the industry, his innovative approach to serving clients and the relationships he has built with dealership groups and industry friends make him well-suited for this role.”
