Grant Thornton India Poaches 70 Tech Executives

Grant Thornton India has poached five partners and 65 professionals from various technology companies and other firms to launch its digital technology arm, DigiTech, in India. Grant Thornton India currently employs 3,000 people.

Debashis Basu, a former EY India partner, will head DigiTech which will include digital transformation, technology and analytics.

“Words like big data, advance analytics, machine learning and digital are going through the journey from being considered slang to becoming a norm,” says Vishesh Chandiok, national MP. “Today, technology could be used to help solve every business problem, both for our clients and for GT.”
