New York-based CohnReznick (FY15 net revenue of $589 million) announced that Frank Banda has been named the national director of the government and public advisory sector for CohnReznick Advisory.
A longtime partner, Banda is a recognized leader for promoting government accountability and efficiency and his work includes: performing examinations to ensure taxpayer dollars are properly spent and the intended results achieved; and enterprise risk assessments to identify potential areas of vulnerability for fraud, waste and abuse. He has more than 30 years of executive management, audit, accounting and consulting experience, with special emphasis on risk management, program oversight, regulatory compliance and monitoring, and congressional research and reporting.
“Frank has been a key driver of many large-scale projects for this practice, and he is known for his strong leadership skills and total commitment to the development and advancement of our professionals,” says Keith Denham, managing principal and national director of CohnReznick Advisory.
He has served as an expert witness in complex cases in support for the U.S. Department of Justice and has designed and implemented complex projects to oversee and administer more than $20 billion of federal funds.
Prior to joining the firm, he co-founded a successful e-commerce software development company and served as CFO of a software development and systems integrator that provided a variety of IT services to federal, state and foreign governments, as well as to large corporations.
Banda is based in the firm’s Bethesda, Md., office.
