Grant Thornton Announces Promotions in Dallas

Chicago-based Grant Thornton (FY15 net revenue of $1.56 billion) admitted Eric Burgess as advisory partner and Graham Dyer as audit partner and promoted David Dominguez to advisory managing director and Barbara Stanton to tax managing director in the firm’s Dallas office.

Across the firm, Grant Thornton admitted 47 new partners and principals and promoted 29 professionals to managing director, which is the highest-level employee position in the firm and are important members of the firm’s leadership team.

Burgess joined the firm in 2012 and has developed extensive transaction services experience serving as an advisor to multinational companies, middle market private equity firms, mezzanine lenders and domestic corporations.

Dyer joined the firm in 2005. He is a member of Grant Thornton’s national accounting principles group, where he consults with clients on complex accounting matters, including business combinations, fair value, consolidations, allowance for loan loss and accounting for financial assets. Prior to being admitted as partner, Dyer served as a senior manager; he has also spent two years with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency as a professional accounting fellow.

Dominguez joined the firm in 2007 and has nearly 25 years of leadership experience, both within industry and as a business consultant. His experience spans various industries including technology, life sciences, energy, manufacturing, health care and not-for-profit.

Stanton joined the firm in 2012 and has more than 15 years of public accounting experience providing comprehensive tax services to public and private middle market businesses.
