New York-based Prager Metis CPAs LLC (FY14 net revenue of $35.6 million) acquired Woodbury, N.Y.-based Mayer CPAs LLP. The combined firms will offer a wider breadth of services to individual and corporate clients. The merger is effective immediately.
The four partners of Mayer CPAs, Robert Mayer, Stuart Mayer, Mark Ackerman and Mary Mooney will join Prager Metis as partners. Robert Mayer, MP of Mayer CPAs, will join Prager Metis as PIC of the Long Island office, which will remain at Mayer CPAs present address in Woodbury. Stuart Mayer will be PIC of the fashion and digital media practices of the combined firm. Ackerman will join the estates and trust committee, and Mooney will assist with training the staff and overseeing workflow.
“We have been looking for a CPA firm on Long Island that shares our values and standards of proactive service, so that we could better service our clients in the area. We chose Mayer CPAs due to their reputation for excellent client services in the tri-state area,” says Glenn Friedman, co-MP of Prager Metis.
Mayer CPAs has maintained a reputation in the community as trusted advisors, continuously putting clients’ best interests at the forefront of all of decisions, which is what led to this merger. Prager Metis CPAs, known for their customized service and longstanding relationships, has a unique level of expertise and global presence. The firm has a strong national and international presence throughout its eight offices and offers a full range of accounting, audit, business management and consulting services.
