Kathy Sautters has been named the new North America regional director for AGN International.

Sautters is working closely with regional director Rita Hood and will replace her after she retires May 31. She will lead operations for the region, working closely with staff and North American board of directors to maintain high member satisfaction and involvement, while exploring new opportunities for growth and advancement.

She also will assist in development of global initiatives and programs that support the association’s new global brand: “Excellent. Connected. Individual.”

Malcolm Ward, AGN International CEO says, “We are thrilled to welcome Kathy to AGN. She comes with an outstanding portfolio of experience, which will be of great value to AGN members.”

Sautters is quite familiar with public accounting firms. Entering the profession nearly 20 years ago, she led the marketing efforts as a director at Ohio-based SS&G, one of the top 50 largest firms in the U.S. prior to its recent merger with BDO. She eventually transitioned to the role of executive director of The Advisory Board, a collaboration of some of public accounting’s top practice management consultants. There she helped to create and grow a variety of cutting-edge educational programs for public accounting firms, most notably the Winning Is Everything practice management conference.

Most recently, Sautters created several valuable programs and facilitated daily member interaction as director of communications for PrimeGlobal. She has received numerous accolades and awards.

“These next five months are a great opportunity to bring Kathy up to speed on the members in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, as well as our programs and services. It also gives her an opportunity to work closely with our talented staff and gain a greater appreciation for our unique, member- and knowledge-driven culture,” Hood says. “On June 1, I’ll feel great leaving the organization in such capable hands.”
