WithumSmith+Brown Merges in Mironov Group

Edison, N.J.-based The Mironov Group has joined Princeton, N.J.-based WithumSmith+Brown (FY15 net revenue of $113.5 million), Withum MP Bill Hagaman announced in this blog.

Jim Boland, Mironov’s MP since 2010, and the firm’s 10 partners and 40 additional staff will officially transition to the Withum team Jan. 1.

The Mironov Group provides specialized accounting, audit, tax and consulting services to the automotive, health care, real estate and professional services industries. Hagaman says the firm’s automotive experience will round out services in that industry, while its strength in health care, “specifically physician groups, assisted living facilities, home health agencies and nursing homes, complements our firm’s expansive list of hospital and healthcare system clients.” He adds, “Their real estate practice includes some marquis clients that will bolster our robust niche.”

Mironov’s Edison office will remain at its current location through the end of the 2016 tax season, but will then relocate to Withum’s New Brunswick, N.J., office. Their Blue Bell, Pa., office will remain at its current location.

“Growth through mergers and acquisitions is certainly a part of our firm’s long-term strategy, to supplement our organic growth. We are so pleased that throughout the firm’s 41 years of history, we have been successful in finding the right strategic partners to help us reach new markets, expand a variety of service areas, and bring aboard so many talented professionals who help provide the world-class service our clients have come to expect every day,” Hagaman says.
