HBK Merges in Norman, Jones & Enlow

Canfield, Ohio-based HBK CPAs & Consultants (Hill, Barth & King) (FY14 net revenue of $51.2 million) has signed a merger agreement with Norman, Jones, Enlow & Co. (NJE) of Columbus, Ohio.

The merger represents greater expansion into Ohio for HBK. The firm has offices in Florida, New Jersey, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

“We welcome NJE, which shares our client service philosophy of establishing enduring relationships that serve clients’ best interests now and into the future,” HBK MP Christopher Allegretti says in a statement.

NJE has served the Columbus area since 1954. The firm has 20 employees and offices in Columbus and Zanesville. Its focus has been in construction, nonprofit organizations and multi-location restaurants.

“The merger provides opportunities for our professionals to better serve their clients, from both a depth of service perspective and in terms of industry niche expertise,” said NJE president Michelle Roseberry in a statement. “Though we spoke with several large firms about the possibility of joining them, HBK stood out because their scope of service will benefit our clients in the Columbus market in a way that wasn’t possible for us, as NJE.”

NJE’s executive team and staff will operate as HBK CPAs & Consultants from its current offices.
