Irvine, Calif.-based Haskell & White (FY14 net revenue of $12.3 million) has announced that CPA Practice Advisor selected Jennifer Cavender, an audit senior manager, as one of 2015’s “40 Under 40,” an honor bestowed on CPAs younger than 40 who stand out for their exemplary service.

In addition to being recognized for her contributions at Haskell & White, Cavender was chosen for her mentorship to young professionals and contributions to the community through professional and nonprofit organizations.

“I seek to be a mentor to young professionals in this industry, so it’s an honor to receive this national recognition for my efforts at my firm,” Cavender says. “I am thrilled to have a career that is rewarding and fun that allows for a personal life, and I hope this example inspires others in designing their career. “

“In her 15 years at Haskell & White, Jennifer continually has stood out as a leader and mentor in the firm’s audit department,” says MP Wayne Pinnell. “Jennifer is focusing her efforts on growing the firm in Los Angeles County, focusing on the South Bay area.”

In addition, the firm this year was recognized by the Orange County Business Journal’s on its “Best Places to Work” list for medium-sized companies. This year Haskell & White was ranked fourth. Also, Helen Adams, San Diego area MP, won the San Diego Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business award in the accounting and finance category.
