New York-based Citrin Cooperman (FY14 net revenue of $173 million) is pleased to announce additions to their Plainview, N.Y., office.

Michael Sabatini joins the firm as MP of the Plainview office and partners Corey Bell and Marc Sonnenberg will relocate to Plainview from the New York office.

Sabatini, Bell, and Sonnenberg will work in collaboration with the Plainview office partners and professionals to lead a robust business development effort in the Long Island market.

“With the expansion into Long Island through our Plainview office last year, we’ve continued to demonstrate our commitment to our clients’ needs on Long Island, helping them to focus on what counts, in the markets we serve,” said Citrin Cooperman CEO Joel Cooperman. “I am excited to accelerate these efforts moving forward with the addition of Mike as managing partner. He is a welcome addition to our team and a strong leader.”

Sabatini has more than 17 years of public accounting experience with a global 6 firm holding leadership positions, including co-audit practice leader, for that firm’s largest office. He has primarily served publicly and privately held commercial middle-market companies. He lives on Long Island.

Bell spent over 25 years at a large metro-New York firm where he was a member of that firm’s executive committee. He has extensive experience providing accounting, auditing, and tax services to the hospitality, manufacturing, wholesale, modeling agency, and real estate industries. Bell also lives on Long Island and is very involved in the community.

Sonnenberg was admitted as partner on July 1, and has more than 10 years of experience providing audit and business consulting services to clients in the franchising, not-for-profit, real estate and distribution industries. As a member of the firm’s franchising practice, he works with both startup and well-established franchisors in a variety of industries.
