William Vaughan Co. Expands With Merger in Ohio

William Vaughan Company (FY 14 net revenue of $8 million) of Maumee, Ohio, has announced that it will acquire Fred T. Freppel CPA of Napoleon, Ohio, effective July 27. The professionals from the firm will operate under the William Vaughan Company name and will remain at their current location.

“Our clients remain at the forefront of everything we do. This merger provides for a broader depth of services by combining demonstrated expertise with expanded areas of practice,” said Aaron Swiggum, MP of William Vaughan Company.

Fred Freppel has owned his accounting firm for more than 43 years and will be retiring. His son, Jacob (Jake) Freppel, will join William Vaughan Company as a senior accountant with more than 20 years of experience in small business consulting, accounting, tax planning and preparation. Three other full-time individuals will join William Vaughan: Carol Baker and Mark Dietrich, accountants, Sheila Clady, administrative professional, and accountant Donna Drewes, who will work during tax season.
