Renjen Takes Reins of Deloitte Global

India-born Punit Renjen has taken over as the CEO of Deloitte Global and plans to boost the firm’s capabilities in cognitive technologies and cloud computing, the Economic Times reported.

Punit-Rengen_Deloitte_2015Renjen has become the first person of Indian origin to head a Big 4 firm. He assumed charge as CEO June 1. In February, the consulting firm had announced his appointment.

According to a statement issued by Deloitte, Renjen has framed a set of strategic priorities, including increasing investment to apply leading technology to serve clients across core businesses of audit, tax, consulting, enterprise risk and financial advisory services.

“All of Deloitte’s stakeholders – clients, colleagues and the communities in which we work – expect us to make an impact that matters for them… That means we must commit to achieve clear leadership in critical areas through very focused priorities.”
