Publisher Mike Platt accepted the award June 4 in Washington, D.C., at the SIPA annual conference, which drew more than 300 publishing professionals.

“Winning a SIPAward is an impressive achievement, and we are proud that the industry judges recognized IPA’s objective analysis of the many financial and operational issues faced by CPA firms across the country,” Platt says. “IPA’s National Benchmarking Report is a valuable tool for accounting leaders to compare their firm’s performance against their peers.”sipa_logo

The report was compiled using data from the annual IPA Survey and Analysis of Firms, which drew participation from more than 500 CPA firms. One of the longest-running MAP surveys in the country, it covers fees, revenues, net income per partner, staff salaries, charge hours, retirement plans, service mix, among many other metrics. The resulting National Benchmarking Report is well-respected throughout the country for accuracy, independence and confidentiality.

The SIPAawards annually recognize editorial and marketing excellence of media companies of all sizes – from niche publishers to multi-billion dollar media conglomerates.
