Morison International Appoints New Chairman

Jean-Pierre Larroze, who is from one of Morison International (MI)’s 4 founding member firms (Aplitec, France) has served MI for 14 years and overseen the association’s significant progress. On stepping down as chairman, Larroze will continue as a Director of MIL, chairman of MI Europe and North America, director of MI Africa and director of MI InterAct.

Stephen Chang, MI’s independent director and vice-chairman, delivered a tribute to Jean-Pierre on behalf of MI to express the association and member firms’ deep appreciation and thanks for his 14 years of chairmanship. Chang spoke about Larroze’s generosity of personality, pragmatic French diplomacy, effective leadership and his very high ethical standards.

Based on Larroze’s recommendation, the MIL Board has appointed Mark Levenfus, MP of New York-based Marks Paneth LLP (FY13 net revenue of $96.6 million) as chairman, starting Jan. 1. Levenfus has been an MIL director for three years, during which time he has been a key contributor on all MI matters. Levenfus is already spearheading MI’s strategic development into North America and other key markets.

Levenfus is a respected board director, and works efficiently and effectively with MI’s CEO, so he is well placed to take MI to the next level of development.
