Faulk & Winkler Partner Dies; MP Addresses Passing of ‘Rising Star’

Dear friends and colleagues,

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that our partner and friend, Freddie “Joey” McClendon passed away on Saturday evening due to complications from the car accident his family was involved in two weeks ago. We are so grateful to all of our clients and colleagues who prayed and supported McClendon and his family during this difficult time. The blood bank even shared that the outpouring of support was unmatched.

Joey will be remembered for his huge heart and willingness to help others. His positive and comforting outlook created a contagious spirit. Joey was a rising star at Faulk & Winkler and took great pride in developing the use of technology to make everyone’s life easier. He was more than just an accountant to his clients, he was truly passionate about their business and well-being. Joey has been a part of our F&W family for over 10 years and will be truly missed.

We ask that you keep his wife, Ragan, as she is recovering and healing from her injuries, and his two sons, Chase and Camron, on your prayer list. Their journey without their husband and father will take time to understand and adapt.

The family has made arrangements to have a visitation from 4 to 9 p.m., Friday, March 6 at the Resthaven Funeral Home, located at 11817 Jefferson Highway Baton Rouge, La., 70816. An additional visitation will take place from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, March 7, with a service from noon to 2 p.m. at the Healing Place Church in Baton Rouge.
Thank you again for your prayers and support,

David Winkler
Managing Partner
