Carr Riggs & Ingram Admits 18 Partners

Enterprise, Ala.-based Carr, Riggs & Ingram LLC (CRI) (FY13 net revenue of $161.3 million) has admitted 14 CPAs to partner and four to corporate partners.

Shelly Compton provides 19 years of audit experience serving financial institutions, commercial companies, governments and employee benefit plans (EBPs). Her areas of specialization include external audit, internal audit, compliance, loan review and FDICIA implementation.

Michelle Stinnett has 15 years of tax and accounting experience. She provides tax services to consolidated entities, closely held business owners and high-net-worth individuals. Stinnett’s specialized accounting services include tax consulting and compliance services, estate planning and representing taxpayers before the IRS and various state agencies.

Lorie Keegan provides consulting and taxation services to not-for-profit organizations and start-up businesses across a wide variety of industries.

With more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, specifically with governmental clients, Lon Stafford has a strong understanding of the issues affecting counties and municipalities in today’s rapidly changing environment. He provides expertise with audits, financial reporting and regulatory requirements for governmental entities, as well as non-profit organizations.

With eight years of experience, Kristen Simpson specializes in tax preparation, review and planning for individuals and small businesses. Her clients extend across a number of industries including real estate, transportation/distribution and professional services.

Colin Taylor concentrates on tax compliance and consulting, estate planning and trusts. Specifically, his industry specializations encompass professional services firms, manufacturers and distributors and health care providers. He has been in the public accounting sector for 10 years.

Dale Miller capitalizes on more than 20 years of experience in the financial services sector. Miller has experience in GAAP and SAP insurance audits, as well as approximately 14 years of experience in the field of insurance regulation, of which the majority of time he functioned as examiner-in-charge (EIC) or administrative examiner for financial and market conduct examinations.

Dawn Steed delivers nearly 30 years of professional experience. She provides tax services to closely held business with an emphasis in the construction, not-for-profit and professional services industries. She specializes in state and local taxation and also works closely with closely-held businesses to provide tax compliance and planning.

Robert Miller has nearly 20 years of experience in public accounting. He offers accounting outsourcing, business consulting services, tax compliance and planning services to closely held businesses of all sizes. His experience includes work with insurance companies, restaurants and not-for-profit organizations.

Now a partner in CRI’s Montgomery, Ala., office, Steven Williams offers 14 years of diversified audit and tax compliance and consulting services. He specializes in serving clients in the insurance and not-for-profit industries.

Destin Cobb focuses on tax compliance and consulting, tax planning and cash flow management. He services businesses of all sizes and industry types, but specializes in construction, real estate, federal contractors and not-for-profit entities.

Ann Marie Sale offers more than a decade of experience providing tax compliance and consulting services to businesses and their owners. She handles a wide range of tax matters for CRI clients – working primarily with C- and S-corporations, limited liability companies, individuals and estate and gift tax areas. She provides tax and advisory services to companies in various industries but concentrates in serving manufacturing companies, health care entities and real estate companies.

Corey Gilliam has nearly 10 years of accounting experience with an emphasis on accounting and taxation services delivered to the oil and gas, professional services firms, automobile dealerships and health care entities. He works closely with physicians, nursing homes and hospice clients providing revenue cycle management, operational analysis and review and strategic planning to enhance performance.

Kyle Howell specializes in providing accounting and consulting services to physicians and medical practices groups. In addition to providing core accounting services, he also provides comprehensive and innovative financial analysis to enhance a business’s revenue and performance.

Darin Phillips is a director of CRI Transaction Advisors. He takes the lead role in business development, client relations and negotiations with strategic and financial buyers throughout the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) process.

Joel Sikes is a director of CRI Transaction Advisors. With more than six years of experience and 30-plus completed deals, he offers diversified experience applicable to many types of M&A. Sikes leads the detailed analysis, preparation and packaging of a company for transition. He also offers expertise in guiding clients through the process of financial/legal due diligence and closing the transaction.

Tommie Singleton serves as CRI’s Director of Consulting Services. His CRI responsibility areas encompass IT audit, forensic accounting and SOC audits. Since 2006, he has been serving as editor of the Information Systems Audit and Control Journal “IT Audit Basics” column, which is published six times annually.

Jimmy Woodall has more than 12 years of professional experience, serving both publicly and privately held entities in a variety of industries. He has considerable experience working with SEC filings, public equity and debt offerings and attestations for section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX 404). Woodall also has extensive internal audit experience, including qualitative and quantitative enterprise-wide risk assessments; design and implementation of operational, process improvement and financial reporting risk-based internal audits; conducting management’s self-assessment of internal controls over financial reporting for SOX 404; fraud investigation; and regulatory compliance.
