CohnReznick Announces Promotions to Partner

New York-based CohnReznick LLP (FY14 net revenue of $508.2 million) announced the election of seven new professionals to its partnership as of Feb. 1.

Asael Meir, partner, is based in the firm’s Long Island, N.Y., office. He works closely with business owners and management teams of both privately held and publicly listed companies who are seeking guidance regarding acquisitions, divestitures and raising capital. With more than 15 years of experience providing assurance and financial reporting services, Meir developed expertise serving technology companies, as well as hospitality and retail and consumer products companies.

Mark Livingston, partner, works in the firm’s Hartford, Conn., office. He has more than 18 years of experience. Within the firm’s tax practice, Livingston specializes in federal tax and works primarily with large corporations, both public and private. He has extensive experience working with consolidated returns, ASC 740, mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, IRS exams and similar matters.

Jeremy Colville, partner, is based in CohnReznick’s Bethesda, Md., office. With more than 14 years of experience in the areas of auditing, taxation and consulting, he has worked in several different industries, including commercial real estate, hospitality, regulated and non-regulated residential real estate, construction, not-for-profit and private equity funds.

Richard Davies, partner, is based in the firm’s Bethesda, Md., office and has been a member of the commercial real estate industry practice for nine years. He has 20 years of experience in accounting and finance. Davies specializes in historic rehabilitation and qualified low-income community investment transactions. His experience includes financial structuring, financial projections, due diligence and valuation-related services.

Kayla Gross, principal, is based CohnReznick’s Baltimore, Md., office. With more than 11 years of experience, she is a member of the firm’s commercial real estate industry practice. Gross specializes in real estate finance and community development with a concentration in historic tax credits, new markets tax credits and renewable energy tax credits.

Nicholas Mathias, partner, is based in CohnReznick’s Charlotte, N.C., office and a member of the firm’s assurance practice. He has more 11 years of experience with the firm. In that time, his focus has been on audit and attestation services. Mathias has concentrated on multifamily real estate projects, renewable energy, housing authority and not-for-profit clients.

Brian Brewer, partner, is based in CohnReznick’s Sacramento, Calif., office. He has more than 15 years of audit, finance, tax and accounting experience in public accounting. Brewer’s industry experience includes serving not-for-profit organizations; commercial and residential real estate owners and developers; multifamily properties, including Low Income Housing Tax Credit and historic tax credit projects; construction contractors; and high technology companies.
