Eide Bailly Expands Into Nevada

Muckel Anderson CPAs of Reno, Nev., will become part of Fargo, N.D.-based Eide Bailly LLP (FY14 net revenue of $195.4 million) on Nov. 3. The union will give Eide Bailly, an IPA Top 100 firm at No. 19, a total of 25 offices in 12 states, with 1,469 staff, including 214 partners. This is the first Nevada location for Eide Bailly, and it will also create the first regional CPA firm in Reno.

“This addition to our firm fits perfectly with our strategic plan to grow our presence west of the Mississippi River and into the intermountain region to better serve our clients,” says Dave Stende, Eide Bailly MP and CEO. “Muckel Anderson has been a member of our Practicewise group for years, which has allowed us to get to know each other well. They have the same commitment and passion for client service as us, and now, as the first regional CPA firm in Reno, mid-size companies in the region will have access to an expanded array of specialty services, including international tax, cost segregation studies, health care reform consulting and more.”

Butch Anderson, MP of Muckel Anderson, will serve as the PIC for the office. He echoed Stende’s enthusiasm for the opportunities that will come with joining Eide Bailly. “Eide Bailly’s resources and expertise will give us tremendous depth of service, especially for our clients in the health care, government, non-profit and renewable energy sectors. In addition, becoming part of Eide Bailly will free our partners from having to handle many administrative tasks and give them more time to focus on client service and staff development, essential factors in the success of any CPA firm. Staff will also benefit from expanded career opportunities and top quality training.”

Muckel Anderson’s affiliation with Practicewise was also a convincing factor, says Anderson. “We’ve had many years to get to know the Eide Bailly partners and staff because of Practicewise, and we have nothing but respect for how Eide Bailly operates as a firm. We want to be a part of what Eide Bailly is creating.”
