CBIZ Partners with Fashion Industry’s Trade Association

The New York office of Cleveland-based CBIZ MHM LLC (CBIZ) (FY13 net revenue of $532 million) announced its partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America Inc. (CFDA).

The not-for-profit trade association has over 400 prominent American fashion and accessory designer members. The CFDA’s commitment to supporting and assisting the growth and success of the fashion community aligns well with the goals and interests of the CBIZ apparel practice, the firm says. CBIZ will be heavily invested in the success of CFDA members through a range of services tailored for designers; financial statement preparation, forecast and projections, operational consulting, assistance in financing, tax compliance, design calendar review, benchmarking to industry standards, international tax structure and transfer pricing.

Additionally, the CBIZ apparel practice will assist young designers in creating a sound financial structure, providing education on industry best practices and offering exceptional accounting and tax services unique to designers.

“The CFDA’s outstanding reputation in the fashion industry, with an incredible membership base, gives us the opportunity to connect with an exclusive and diverse group of fashion designers who need guidance and assistance with accounting, tax and advisory services,” says Jay Silver, managing director and apparel services practice leader.
