Chief People Officer and Chief Human Resource Officer Named At BDO

Chicago-based BDO USA LLP (FY13 net revenue of $683 million) announced that Cathy Moy, assurance MP for the firm’s Boston practice, has been named to the newly created role of Chief People Officer (CPO) and Donna Comerford will be joining the firm as Chief Human Resource Officer. These appointments are effective immediately.

As CPO, Moy will report directly to Berson and will work with the firm’s leadership team. She will focus much of her efforts on the firm’s strategies to attract and retain the best people. Comerford joins BDO from Deloitte Consulting where she served as national human resources leader for the firm’s technology service area since 2008. She has more than 25 years of experience in professional services. Comerford will be responsible for the technical areas of HR, focusing her efforts on programs, processes and the firm’s five HR centers of excellence – total rewards, training & development, talent acquisition, HR operations and HR information systems. She will report directly to Moy.
