Smart Devine Hires Three Managing Directors

Philadelphia-based Smart Devine (FY12 net revenue of $12.1 million) named three managing directors to expand its accounting, tax and business consulting practices – Key Coleman, Andrew Wiest and Dominic Caglioti.

“The hiring of these exceptional professionals is the thoughtful execution of our strategy to seek out and hire the best talent in the marketplace to better serve our clients and grow the firm. We will be that much stronger in our accounting, tax, valuation and insurance advisory practices,” says Jim Smart, CEO of Smart Devine.

Coleman joins Smart Devine in the business advisory practice. He has more than 25 years of experience providing business and financial analysis in the insurance and reinsurance industry. Coleman’s areas of focus include forensics, dispute analysis, damages and expert testimony.

Wiest joins Smart Devine with more than 25 years of experience in the valuation and appraisal of business enterprises, intangible assets, liabilities and securities for financial reporting purposes, such as purchase price allocations, impairment testing and equity compensation, including the analysis and valuation of complex capital structures.

Caglioti joins Smart Devine with more than 30 years of public accounting experience. His background includes working with service-oriented businesses, such as medical, legal and real estate, in addition to manufacturing, distribution, retail and professional athletes. His field of expertise includes tax, financial, estate and business planning.

 

Frazier & Deeter Announces Leadership Addition for State and Local Tax Practice

John Corn has joined Atlanta-based Frazier & Deeter (FY12 net revenue of $44.1 million) as a principal in the firm’s SALT practice, in the Atlanta office. Corn specializes in SALT matters with regard to income/franchise tax, tax credits and incentives, sales and use tax and property tax.
