Walsh & Borresen LLC Merges With WithumSmith+Brown, PC

Morristown, N.J.-based Walsh & Borresen (WB) has combined its practice with Princeton, N.J.-based WithumSmith+Brown (WS+B) (FY13 net revenue of $96.8 million). Effective March 1, the merger added 10 professionals to WS+B’s roster.

“We have been seeking the right strategic partner to enhance our presence in the New York metropolitan area, and we found the perfect match with Walsh & Borresen in terms of expertise, geographic location and culture,” says Kirk Holderbaum, PIC of WS+B’s Morristown office. “Our new colleagues pride themselves on providing clients with outstanding client service, aligning with the commitment made to all WithumSmith+Brown clients.”

The WB professionals provide primarily tax services to businesses and business owners, specializing in inbound international taxation for both entities and individuals, corporate tax accounting services, transactional advice and tax services to high-net-worth individuals and have experience in many diverse industries.

“The ‘win, win’ aspect of this move is that we will be adding professional strengths such as WS+B’s national and international affiliations, a complete complement of professional accounting and financial services and additional experienced staff to assist our new and existing clients as the need arises,” says Patrick Walsh, MP of WB. “In return, WS+B’s Morristown office will be gaining the broad experience and knowledge of WB partners and staff, to better serve clients in the New York metropolitan area.”
