Five Become Partner at Warren Averett

Birmingham, Ala.-based Warren Averett (FY12 net revenue of $111 million) has admitted five professionals to partner at the firm.

Lisa Billings serves in the tax department of the Birmingham office. She focuses her practice on the taxation of pass-through entities in the firm’s real estate division and assists clients in the real estate and private equity arena with strategic planning.

Ann Cotton serves as the firm administrator, based in the Birmingham office. She oversees all administrative and operational functions and is a member of the firm’s operation board, an elected board of firm leaders tasked with ensuring efficient, effective and profitable firm operations.

Michael Gold serves in the tax department of the Atlanta office. He is an attorney licensed to practice in Georgia, Florida and Arizona, and he is also a Certified Financial Planner® with a Masters of Taxation. His practice focuses on helping wealthy families and business owners to build, protect and transfer their legacy to the next generation of family or subsequent owners.

Jay Robbins serves in the tax department of the Atlanta office. He focuses his practice in the area of tax planning and consulting for hedge funds, private equity funds and other investment partnerships. He also assists high-net-worth individuals with tax and financial planning and fiduciary and estate planning.

Justin Russell serves in Warren Averett Asset Management’s Birmingham office. His primary responsibilities include developing comprehensive financial plans and managing investment portfolios for his high-net-worth and foundation clients. He also serves the role of chief compliance officer and sits on the investment committee.
