Cincinnati, Dayton Firms Join Forces

Two Ohio companies – an accounting firm in Cincinnati and one in Dayton – have merged to make one of the largest firms in the region, the Cincinnati Business Courier reported.

Rippe and Kingston of Cincinnati and Battelle & Battelle of Dayton joined effective Dec. 1. Rippe & Kingston MP Ken Schoster told the newspaper, “We had some limitations in terms of resources, and adding Battelle increased our depth and adds opportunities to grow and provide more services to our existing and future clients.” Battelle & Battelle MP Charlie Foley, who leads the new firm, said, “Both firms have known each other for quite a while, and we thought it was important to expand our footprint to work together and join forces to provide more resources to our clients and more career opportunities to our people.” The combined firm, Battelle Rippe Kingston, has 60 CPAs, 115 employees, 13 partners and offices in Cincinnati, Dayton and Troy. Both are members of the McGladrey Alliance.
