ORBA Co-Founder Dies At 81

Allen M. Abrams, co-founder of Ostrow Reisin Berk & Abrams, Ltd. (ORBA) of Chicago (FY13 net revenue of $21.8 million) died Oct. 27 after a brief illness at the age of 81.

In 1977, Abrams and six partners at another firm founded ORBA, which has grown organically from 12 to 120 employees. Today, ORBA is ranked among the top 150 largest accounting firms in the country and the 17th largest in Chicago, the firm said. Read more about Abrams.
