KPMG CEO Recognized as “Responsible CEO of the Year”

New York-based KPMG (FY12 net revenue of $5.75 billion) and its chairman and CEO John Veihmeyer have been recognized by Corporate Responsibility magazine, which has named Veihmeyer one of its “Responsible CEO of the Year” award recipients.Our people have dedicated countless hours to our corporate citizenship, diversity and inclusion, and environmental sustainability programs and initiatives,” Veihmeyer said in a statement. CR Magazine’s annual awards are presented to CEOs of organizations with high standards in employee relations, environmental impact, human rights, philanthropy and corporate responsibility practices.

One of KPMG’s top corporate responsibility programs is KPMG’s Family for Literacy, which is dedicated to combating illiteracy and improving children’s education and has distributed more than 2 million books to children in underprivileged communities.

Additionally, KPMG is consistently honored by leading diversity organizations for its efforts around diversity and inclusion. KPMG was once again named one of DiversityInc’s top 50 companies for diversity in 2013.
