Albany MP Loses Battle With Cancer

Arthur Place, MP of Arthur Place & Co. of Albany, N.Y., lost a valiant battle with cancer on Aug. 11.

Placee began practicing in public accounting in 1968 and founded Arthur Place & Company in 1980. Over the years he mentored many accountants and advised many individuals and business owners using a hands-on, creative approach, according to PrimeGlobal, the third largest association of independent accounting firms. Arthur Place & Co. is an independent member of PrimeGlobal.

PrimeGlobal World Board Chairman Edward A. Davis said in a statement, “Art loved his chosen profession and truly embodied the spirit of our association, establishing deep relationships that extended beyond work and were very personal. He was loved by all who knew him and was a shining example of getting the most out of life.”
