Two Promoted to Partner At Grassi & Co.; New PIC of Tax Services

Barry Goodman and Stephen Bracone have been admitted to partner at New York-based Grassi & Co. (FY13 net revenue of $40 million). Both have made significant contributions to the financial services practice, the firm said. Goodman, leader of the practice, has also been appointed by the New York State Society of CPAs as chair of the Investment Companies Committee. “Barry and Stephen possess a great amount of talent and demonstrate exemplary client service to each and every client they work with,” said Louis C. Grassi, president and CEO.

In addition, Thomas Butler has joined Grassi & Co. as PIC of tax services. He advises corporations and partnerships on the tax aspects of transactions, among them mergers and acquisitions; joint ventures; consolidations; reorganizations; and dispositions of real estate. He is an adjunct assistant professor of accounting and taxation at the Frank G. Zarb Graduate School of Business at Hofstra University. “The addition of Tom will allow Grassi & Co. to continue to meet and exceed our clients’ needs in order to help them achieve their business objectives,” Grassi said.
