Gainer Donnelly, Briggs & Veselka Walk Away From Merger Talks

Houston-based Briggs & Veselka (FY11 net revenue of $19.80 million) and Gainer Donnelly of Houston (FY11 net revenue of $20.26 million) have walked away from merger negotiations after talking about a possible merger for years.

“These two firms got into it and talked more about it,” Allan Koltin of Chicago-based Koltin Consulting Group told the Houston Business Journal. “I think they identified a lot of strategic pluses, but at the end of the day, the old saying goes, life is really good where we are.”

In other news for Gainer Donnelly, the firm announced it is going through a major rebranding effort in early 2013.
