PMB Helin Donovan Adds Partner with Acquisition

Austin, Texas-based PMB Helin Donovan (FY11 net revenue of $13.7 million) has acquired Ankeney & Singer of Dallas, and added Sandy Singer as a partner. Singer, who led the audit practice, specializes in U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development affordable housing programs.

Ankeney & Singer, a two-person firm, is the successor to the sole proprietorship of John W. Ankeney, created in 1988. Sandra M. Singer joined the practice in 2001 and the partnership was created in 2004.

PMB Helin Donovan was formed in 2000 and last year was the second-largest Austin-based accounting firm. In February, it acquired Vink Teague & Associates of Dallas to create a 20-person Dallas office. Firm officials have said they hope to become one of the 100 largest accounting firms in the country.
