McLean, Va.-based Argy, Wiltse & Robinson (FY11 net revenue of $50.0 million) admitted Jeremy Migliara to principal of the State and Local Tax Group. He will develop innovative tax planning alternatives and solutions for a variety of clients, including corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies. Prior to joining Argy, Jeremy worked for two Fortune 500 companies.

Chicago-based Grant Thornton LLP (FY11 net revenue of $1.15 billion) admitted 27 new partners and principals to the firm, effective Aug. 1. These partners and principals are based throughout the firm’s offices across the country. In addition, the firm has promoted 34 professionals to managing director, the highest level of employee in the firm and members of the firm’s leadership team.

Miami-based MBAF (FY11 net revenue of $80.2 million) announced the following professionals have been admitted as principals: Manuel Pravia, Steven Blumenthal, Mark Fenaughty, Michael Moss, Scott Goldberg, Michele Ferrara and Holly Condon, who was admitted as a principal at Solutions@MBAF, LLC.

Moore Colson of Marietta, Ga., (FY11 net revenue of $11.6 million) admitted Elizabeth Miller to partner and leader of the Corporate Accounting Practice, a longtime core service area at Moore Colson. Miller will provide firm clients with bookkeeping, compilations, and payroll tax preparation services. Prior to joining the firm, Elizabeth was a partner with Miller Taylor Miller of Marietta, Ga.

New York-based Rosen Seymour Shapss Martin & Co. (FY11 net revenue of $51.7 million) has named Michael Bernstein MP, succeeding Martin Greenberg. As a partner-in-charge at the firm’s Consulting and Due Diligence Services Group, Bernstein provides services to private equity funds, banks, investment banks and mezzanine lenders. He is also partner-in-charge of the SEC Services Group.

Pittsford, N.Y.-based The Bonadio Group (FY12 net revenue of $47.5 million) is expanding its health care tax-exempt division with a new principal, Robert Urban, who brings more than 15 years of experience in managing company finances, cash flow, insurable risks and benefit plans. Prior to joining the firm, Urban worked as CFO for the Fulton County Chapter of NYSARC Inc., a not-for-profit human services organization.

Birmingham, Ala.-based Warren Averett, LLC (FY11 net revenue of $80.9 million) admitted the following to partner: Alan Kilfoyle, M. Gayle Stoner, Jim Lamphron, Jim Lazenby, Melanie Doss, Merry Vaughn and Nancy Clevenger.

Fort Worth, Texas-based Weaver LLC (FY12 net revenue of $73.6 million) admitted six to partner. Philippe Simoens was named a partner for tax and strategic business services. Colby Warr was named partner for assurance services. Jayna Bovre was named PIC of operations in Weaver’s Fort Worth office. Timothy Dowling was named partner for tax and strategic business services in Weaver’s Austin office. Brian Reed was named a partner for transaction advisory services in Weaver’s Dallas office. George Stavinoha was named partner for tax and strategic business services in Weaver’s San Antonio office.

Milwaukee, Wis.-based Wipfli LLP (FY12 net revenue of $151.6 million) admitted six associates to partner. The addition of Kelly Arduino, Matt Bollinger, Todd Kostman, Cori Schoenke, Jay Totzke and Jeff Wulf brings the total number of partners in the firm to 142.
