SS&G Names New Managing Partner, Gary Shamis to Step Down From Post

Cleveland-based SS&G (FY10 net revenue of $64.8 million) named Robert Littman MP, succeeding Gary Shamis, effective May 1, 2013.

Shamis will step down from the role he has held since 1986. Shamis assumed the position from the firm’s founder, and his late father, Marvin Shamis. He remains president of SS&G, Inc. and will continue to serve on the firm’s executive committee and finance committees. He will also continue to represent SS&G within the profession and as a national, industry speaker.

Littman has served as a MP of the firm’s Akron office alongside Mark Goldfarb since 1990.  Littman joined SS&G as a manager in 1985. The fifteen-month transition will ensure that Littman has ample time to transition clients allowing more time for his new duties.

In addition to his client service obligations, Littman is a member of the firm’s executive, finance, and personnel committees.
