Friedman Admits Three New Partners and Director

New York-based Friedman LLP (FY11 net revenue of $64.2 million) added four practice leaders to its growing talent roster, increasing the firm’s partner count to 50 and bolstering its reputation as a leading provider of accounting and advisory services in the tri-state area. Anthony Chan, Robert Charron and Scott Maier joined the firm as partners, effective July 5th and Elizabeth Gillon took on the position of Director of Corporate Tax Services Group in May. 

The firm has grown steadily throughout 2011, adding staff and two new office locations in New Jersey earlier this year. Collectively, these professionals bring a wealth of experience to the firm, expanding the number of practitioners across its tax, audit, forensic accounting, litigation support and valuation practice areas.

Mr. Chan, CPA, brings more than 22 years of auditing, SEC reporting, internal controls and risk management experience to the firm.  He is an integral part of the firm’s Chinese SEC practice and works closely with the quality review team to manage related audit risks.

Mr. Charron, CPA, has over three decades of experience and joins as the Tax Operations partner, overseeing tax policies and processes. He coordinates the group’s business development efforts and increases efficiency by enforcing best practices and uniformity across all tax procedures.

Mr. Maier, CPA, JD, has more than 25 years of experience as a litigation support, valuation and business consultant. He joins the firm’s Forensic Accounting, Litigation Support and Valuations group and provides critical insight on litigation and support strategies for trial or settlement in the matrimonial and business valuation arenas.

Ms. Gillon, CPA, has more than 15 years of public accounting and specialized tax advisory experience. She serves the diverse corporate tax needs of the firm’s clients.
