Johnson Lambert Expands Reach to Canada With CPAB Registration

Falls Church, Va.-based Johnson Lambert & Co. (FY09 net revenue of $19.8 million) has registered with the Canadian Public Accountability Board (CPAB). The CPAB oversees auditors of Canadian reporting issuers who are required to file financial statements with one or more provincial securities commissions in Canada. Under Canadian Securities Administrators Rule 52-108, accounting firms that audit Canadian reporting issuers must be participants in CPAB’s oversight program.

JL & Co. has been registered with the PCAOB since 2003 and has successfully undergone their inspections receiving no comments, will now also be subject to CPAB’s inspections of audits of Canadian reporting issuers.
