Weaver and Tidwell Opens Up Office, Names New MP

Fort Worth, Texas-based Weaver and Tidwell (FY08 net revenue of $50.7 million) opened up an office in Austin. This marks the first expansion for WT into the Austin market.

“As a firm that serves businesses with interests throughout Texas, we are very excited about this expansion,” says W.M. “Mack” Lawhon, WT’s MP and CEO. “Having a presence in Austin is a natural progression associated with our recent merger in San Antonio and has been a priority for us. This will now allow us to be available on a local basis to clients who have offices in Central and South Texas.”

Gary McIntosh, has been named Austin executive partner and Timothy Dowling will join the firm as a senior manager. “We are very excited Gary is leading our Austin practice and to have Tim joining our team,” Lawhon says. “Gary’s and Tim’s long-established experience and involvement in the Austin community supports Weaver and Tidwell’s growth in that market.”

Prior to joining WT to open the Austin office, McIntosh was a partner with Brown, Graham & Company.

The firm also named Tommy Lawler MP, effective June 1. Lawler succeeds Lawhon who held the position for more than 23 years. Kerry Caves was also named to the COO position, previously held by Lawler.
